SymbiFlow Processor Requirements

Reading the Symbiflow_installation_Guide_and_Tutorial.pdf, page 2 states that I need a Intel Xeon class processor?

I am running CentOS7.x in a VM on a Windows 10 machine with an i7 7gen processor. Can you please let me know if I will have an difficulties?

CentOS7 in a VM will be sufficient, be sure to allocate sufficient memory, but a single CPU will be fine. I recommend 8GBytes of RAM and of course more memory and/or CPUs won't hurt.

It's common to see Xeon recommendations for specialized software. While your i7 7th gen might manage for basic tasks, more demanding operations in Symbiflow could lead to performance issues. You might find yourself waiting longer than if you were playing a quick game of Pips. Expect potential slowdowns, especially if your VM isn't generously allocated resources.
